About Ty

Hello! I'm the founder of With Trust. I'm originally from the U.S. and now based in Amsterdam, but my story has been a global one.

My passion for different cultures has taken me many places—from an MBA in Japan to working for a PR agency in Australia, being the GM of a global marketing agency’s Hong Kong office, and working in Germany. This cross-cultural experience is the foundation of my work. It’s taught me that connection, empathy, and clear communication are the keys to unlocking performance anywhere.

In 2003, I shifted my career from 10 years in marketing and communications to coaching, and I’ve never looked back. I dove deep, expanding my work into leadership development, culture change, inclusion, engagement, and employee experience.

From In-House to Your House

I had the incredible opportunity to lead this work inside some of the world's most dynamic companies. At Nike's European HQ in The Netherlands, I worked in Leadership Development and then spent seven years as the Global Director of Diversity and Inclusion. This role taught me how to drive systemic change in cultures and team dynamics to be more open, collaborative, and inclusive.

Later, I moved to Berlin to work in Culture & Engagement at Zalando, in Germany, where I led the redesign of their values and supported the launch of their purpose.  I also initiated their first Inclusion & Diversity strategy. I then served as the Head of the Development Studio.

Since founding Remix Coaching in Amsterdam back in 2018, I have partnered with clients as a coach, advisor, designer, and facilitator to remix the talent and culture for stronger results. As the topic of trust kept coming up during coaching sessions, workshops, and offsites, I decided to create a new company, With Trust, in 2025, dedicated to infusing more authentic trust into teams and organizations

When I'm not partnering with clients, I'm proud to volunteer my time to support others.  I have mentored others in formal and informal capacities.  I am a member of the Professional Development Committee of the Up With People Alumni Association. I also served on the Management Board of Polaris, a non-profit that stands for inclusion and gender equality in the Netherlands, to serve the development and networking needs of their members.
